No words. No screens. Just the landscape and your nervous system.

Silent Trek

A 2 to 4-day period of complete silence woven into the retreat. Walking routes through Atlas valleys, Saharan dune corridors, or Rif mountain cedar forests, without speaking, without devices, without distraction. Guided by a single practitioner who speaks only when safety requires.

The experience

Silent Trek

The neuroscience is specific: two hours of genuine silence per day triggers hippocampal neurogenesis, growth of new cells in the brain region governing memory and emotional regulation (Duke University, 2013). The silent trek extends this to three days of walking in complete quiet through the High Atlas, the Sahara, or the cedar forests of the Rif. No speaking. No phones. No music. A journal provided. Meals taken in silence. What emerges in the absence of language is not emptiness, it is everything that constant input has been suppressing. Participants report that the shift happens on day two: the inner voice stops narrating and starts listening.
