Umnya

For participants

This is not
a holiday.

Eight days in an extraordinary landscape with 8 to 14 other seekers. Movement at sunrise. Silence at sunset. Something shifts.

Who comes

Built for the serious seeker.

The curious professional

You've done the spa weekends. You've done the yoga retreats. You're looking for something deeper, more demanding, more honest.

The movement practitioner

Pilates instructors, yoga teachers, martial artists, runners. You train daily and you want a landscape that matches your discipline.

The explorer

You travel for what stays with you, not tourism. You want to be challenged by a place, not entertained by it.

What's included

Everything handled. You just arrive.

Expert-led movement

Twice-daily sessions led by coaches from your partner studio. Pilates on the dunes, yoga on the rooftop, functional movement on sand. The landscape amplifies every practice.

Private accommodation

Exclusive-use desert camp under the stars, or a private riad in the heart of the Medina. Every detail considered. No other guests.

A curated group

8 to 14 participants, selected by the partner studio. Small enough for depth, diverse enough for perspective. You will know everyone by the second morning.

Recovery protocols

Daily cold plunge sessions (45–60 minutes), infrared sauna, myofascial release with IASTM tools, sound healing with crystal bowls. Every active session is followed by structured recovery.

All meals included

Locally sourced, seasonal, cooperative-supplied. Berber tagines, Atlas herb teas, argan-dressed salads, fire-cooked grains. Designed for movement and sleep, not entertainment.

Photography & documentation

A documentary photographer present throughout all eight days. You receive a private gallery within four weeks of the retreat ending.

A typical day

How the days unfold.

05:30

Wake before the sun

The desert is coldest and most beautiful at dawn. This is when the day begins.

06:00 – 08:30

Movement session

Led by your studio's coaches. Pilates on the dunes. Yoga on the rooftop. Running across the plateau.

09:00 – 13:00

Explore or rest

Desert walks, medina exploration, or complete stillness. The rhythm is yours.

14:00 – 17:00

Recovery & workshops

Cold plunge, breathwork, fascial work, or technique workshops. The body recovers while the mind deepens.

18:00 – 20:00

Restorative flow & dinner

A gentle evening session followed by shared meals. Long tables, low light, slow conversation.

21:00+

Stars or silence

In the Sahara, the sky is the final session. In Marrakech, the courtyard closes the day.
