Coach leading a session in Morocco

For independent coaches, trainers and teachers

You already have the hard part.
You just do not want to organise it.

You know which twelve of your clients would come. What you do not want is nine months of finding the places, negotiating the houses, arranging every road transfer and deciding what twelve people eat for eight days. That part is ours, on the ground in Morocco.

Why a coach is not a small studio

We wrote this page separately because the four things that make your situation different are the four things that decide whether a retreat is worth doing.

You decide alone

A studio needs a partner meeting, a landlord conversation and someone to cover classes. You need an afternoon and a decision. In practice that means a coach can commit to a date eight months out while a studio is still circulating a document, and the good dates go to whoever moves.

Your list is shorter and warmer

A gym converts a small fraction of hundreds. You convert a large fraction of dozens, because your clients follow you rather than an address. You do not need a following in the thousands. You need twelve people who would get on a plane because you are on it.

You do not need premises or a company

No studio, no lease, no registered business, no travel licence. We are the licensed operator: the regulatory exposure, the insurance and the ground operation sit with us. If you teach and people come, you qualify.

You carry nothing

Your clients book the ground arrangements with us and pay us directly. You never advance a deposit, never hold a float, never process a refund out of your own account. If a week does not fill, you have lost time, not money. This matters more to a coach than to anyone else, because a coach has a client list but not a treasury.

What we do, and where it stops

Being precise about this early saves a difficult conversation later.

Ours, from the moment they land

Choosing the places and testing them before anything is sold. Building the week around your practice. Every road transfer, every vehicle and every driver. The guides. All meals, from the long lunch to the fire at the camp. Permits, the operator licence, insurance and what happens when something goes wrong four hours from a road.

Not ours

International flights. Each guest books their own, and we say so on every page rather than absorb a cost we cannot control. Travel insurance, visas and passports are theirs too. We are a ground operator in Morocco, not a travel agency, and the distinction is not pedantic: it is the difference between a licence we hold and one we do not.

Three ways this pays you

Which one applies depends on whether you are the person who introduces the group or the reason the group exists.

You introduce

A commission on everyone you bring

Flat, with no ladder to climb and no threshold to reach. It applies from the first guest, and we tell you the rate in the first conversation.

You lead

Your own place, free

From eight paying guests your seat costs you nothing and you lead part of the programme. Below eight it is a paid place at cost, which is not us being difficult: at four guests a free seat consumes more than a third of what the week earns, and a partnership that loses money does not get a second year.

You are the draw

A fee, if people come for you

Established coaches are often the reason a week sells rather than the person who introduces it, and they are paid accordingly everywhere else. We do the same, tied to a number of confirmed bookings rather than paid on signature, and on the condition that the retreat is genuinely promoted to your community.

We do not publish rates. A number on a public page becomes a ceiling in every conversation that follows, so we give it to you in the first exchange instead. What we will say publicly is that no arrangement requires you to spend anything first.

What coaches ask first

How many clients do I need?
Eight to twenty depending on the format, and twelve is a comfortable first outing. Below eight the week starts depending on two or three personalities, which is a risk to your reputation rather than ours. If you are not sure you have twelve, the honest test is not your follower count: it is how many clients have already asked you where you go on holiday.
I have no company and no premises. Does that disqualify me?
No. You need clients who trust you and a practice worth travelling for. We hold the Moroccan operator licence, the insurance and the ground operation. Nothing about the arrangement requires you to register a business or sell travel yourself, which is regulated and which you should not be doing informally.
What am I actually responsible for on the week?
Teaching, and being the person your clients came for. Everything on the ground in Morocco is ours: the places, the experiences, the road transport, the guides and the meals. You should be tired at the end of the week from teaching, not from logistics. To be clear about the edge of that: international flights are not included and are booked by each guest. We start when they land.
Can I charge a fee rather than take a commission?
Yes, if people come because of you rather than through you. We pay it against a number of confirmed bookings rather than on signature, and we ask that the week is properly promoted to your community, with dates agreed in advance. A fee buys your audience's attention, not only your presence on site, and we write that down rather than leave it implied.
When should I plan for?
The desert runs late September to early June: July and August are too hot in the Sahara for the camp to open. The Atlantic does not close, and Taghazout, Essaouira and Oualidia are at their best in summer. Plan eight to ten months ahead, because the camps and guides we use are held earlier than most people expect.
What happens if I say I am interested?
One conversation, twenty minutes, about who you teach and roughly when they travel. We come back with a date, a format and a rate. Nothing is signed and nothing is owed at that stage, and if the numbers do not work for your group we will say so rather than sell you a week that disappoints them.

Twelve clients. One week. You teach.

Tell us what you teach, where your clients are, and roughly when they can travel. We will come back with a date and a format, and you decide what your clients pay.
