Las tres rutas anteriores se construyen a medida. Esta no: un formato fijo, cuatro noches, fechas publicadas y un precio publicado. Usted conduce desde Uarzazat a través del desierto abierto hasta las grandes dunas del Erg Chigaga, detrás de un guía y un mecánico, y el campamento al final del recorrido es nuestro. Pensión completa, con el programa del desierto que lo acompaña: paseo en dromedario al atardecer, sandboard, pan de arena, observación de estrellas, fuego de campamento y música amazigh.

Erg Chigaga sits sixty kilometres past the last paved road. How you arrive changes the whole expedition: an afternoon of dunes, a full day across the Drâa, or two days from the film studios down to the sand. All three finish in the same place, and all three are led by a guide who has driven the piste for years, with a support vehicle and a mechanic behind you.

The closest launch point to the erg, and the purest. You leave the last village in Morocco and there is nothing between you and the dunes but sixty kilometres of open desert. Arrival at the camp in time for the light to go long. The right route for anyone who wants the desert without a day behind the wheel.

The old caravan road follows the Drâa valley through the longest palm oasis in Morocco, then leaves it for the hamada and finally the sand. You cross three landscapes in one day and understand, by the end of it, why the erg felt so far away to everyone who came before the engine.

From the film studios down through Agdz and the Drâa to the erg, with a night on the way. The most complete of the three: mountain pass, palm valley, stone desert and dunes, in that order. For groups who want the expedition to be the holiday rather than the transfer.

Every route ends the same way: three nights at our own camp in Erg Chigaga, all meals included, and the days built around what the desert actually offers rather than a list of excursions.
Stargazing
No light within a thousand square kilometres. Telescopes on site and someone who can name what you are looking at.
Fire camps
The fire is lit every night. Amazigh musicians most of them, and no schedule after dinner.
Sand bread
Bread baked in the embers under the sand, the way the nomads have always done it. You make it yourself.
Sandboarding
Boards and instruction on the big face behind the camp. Best in the first hour after sunrise, when the sand is still firm.
Walking with the nomads
A half day on foot with a nomad family who still move with their herds. Tea in the tent, and no performance in it.
Sunset camel ride
Out to the high dunes for the last hour of light, and back on foot if you would rather walk.
Full board
Every meal, water and teas throughout. Cooked on site, sourced from the valley.
Guide and support vehicle
A lead guide, a support vehicle and a mechanic on every route. Buggies, helmets and briefing included.
The erg is closed to us from June to the end of August: temperatures pass 45°C and the nights do not drop below 29°C. It is not a comfort question, it is a safety one. The season runs from the first of September to the end of May, and the best driving is between November and March.
Dónde duerme
Nada de lo que ve aquí se reservó de un catálogo. Cada riad, campamento, kasbah y casa de huéspedes fue encontrado, visitado y probado por uno de nuestros expertos antes de ofrecerlo a nadie. El estándar es superior en todos, y la razón es práctica: después de un día de caminata, surf o altura, el confort no es un lujo, es lo que hace posible el día siguiente.
Nuestro equipo recorre el país todo el año. Si ninguno de nosotros ha dormido allí, no entra en un programa.
Riads privados, nuestro campamento de uso exclusivo en las dunas, kasbahs familiares restauradas, casas de huéspedes en pueblos bereberes. Lugares que no se reservan desde una pantalla.
Camas de verdad, agua caliente, habitaciones silenciosas, buena comida. La recuperación forma parte del programa, no del decorado.
